Stetson University College of

Law

Stetson's primary campus is settled in the residential beachfront of Gulfport, near St. Petersburg. The other campus, Tampa Law Center, has evening classes as well as a state appellate courtand and is near the heart of downtown Tampa. Both Tampa Bay campuses offer quick access to thriving businesses and legal communities.

Stetson was founded in 1900, Florida's first law school, and has educated lawyers, judges and other leaders since.

In 2004 the College of Law started a satellite campus in downtown Tampa. Stetson is accredited by the American Bar Association and has been a member of the Association of American Law Schools since 1931.

A range of financial help options are available, including a variety of loans and scholarships. Stetson awards multi-year scholarships to chosen entering law students. All students admitted are considered for scholarships. Scholarships are given out based on academic excellence, other personal accomplishments, experiences, and the ability to fit in with the mission of the College of Law. Applicants who wish their backgrounds and circumstances to be considered should include an addendum with their application.

Stetson gives career coaching and instructional programs for both students and alumni. For the class of 2011, of 322 graduates, 248 were employed and 13 re-enrolled as full-time students in other subjects.
