HCC's Education Center at MacDill Air Force Base is open to both civilians and military personnel
but active duty military personnel are always given priority in registering for classes. The Center
is open for student support from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday. It is closed on
Fridays and Federal holidays.

Unless you have a Department of Defense identification card, the Air Force requires that you
undertake a federal background investigation in order to attend classes on MacDill AFB. After
you have registered for a MacDill class, contact the numbers above not earlier than 5 business
days prior to the start date of your class. At that time you will be told when and where to go for
the Air Force to run the required security investigation at no cost to you. It is a one-stop event
lasting about 30 minutes.
